Description

A historic Third Growth Margaux founded in 1616, famously once owned by the family of aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The 28-hectare vineyard sits on prime Pyrenean gravel and clay. Under owner Jean-Luc Zuger and consultant Michel Rolland, the estate produces wines renowned for their power, concentration, and Margaux elegance.

The 2025 Vintage
Despite a demanding and relentless growing season, the harvest (18–29 September) yielded high-quality berries. The wine is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, and 6% Petit Verdot. It was aged for 14–16 months in French oak (45% new) and bottled without fining or filtration to preserve its character.

Tasting Characteristics
Appearance: Radiant and deeply intense in colour.
Nose: Expressive and fresh with remarkable aromatic balance.
Palate: A silky, mouth-coating texture that marries richness with elegance. Expect vibrant acidity, supple youthful tannins, and a notably long finish.
Profile: 14% ABV. A brilliant balance of constant freshness and structural depth.

93 Points - Vinum - "Complex nose with floral notes and clove, with ripe blackcurrant fruit in the background; on the palate, generous fruit with still noticeable oak, very good structure and fine, grainy tannins; the finish is red-fruited and very spicy. Should gain further with ageing."
