Description
Domaine Jean Pascal et Fils is a rising star in Puligny-Montrachet, where Yann and Alexandra Pascal, alongside their son Joseph, craft wines of exceptional intensity and texture. The 2023 vintage in Burgundy was marked by a warm summer, yielding ripe, healthy fruit with impressive concentration and a vibrant, life-affirming acidity. Sourced from sixty-year-old vines situated directly below Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet, this 100% Chardonnay climat is treated with premier cru precision. Fermented and aged for twelve months in local oak, it reveals a sophisticated bouquet of ripe lemon, hazelnut, and flinty minerals. On the palate, a close-knit, concentrated texture provides remarkable depth, leading to a long, persistent finish. This is an expertly crafted white designed for graceful maturation.
JANCIS ROBINSON: 17/20
"From a site just below Bienvenues. It has an extra layer of weight and density but there is still the typical Puligny drive and minerality. Fresh and pure. A very fine example which compares well with many of the premier cru competitors within Puligny " Andy Howard MW. Drink 2026-2034
